MARELLI is one of the world’s leading global independent suppliers to the automotive sector

Marelli is a globally recognized leader in the automotive sector, providing independent and innovative solutions. Our mission is to shape the future of mobility by collaborating with customers and partners to create a safer, greener, and more connected world.

With a strong track record in innovation and manufacturing excellence, Marelli operates in 170 facilities and R&D centers across Asia, America, Europe, and Africa. We employ approximately 50,000 individuals worldwide and achieved revenues of 1,266 billion JPY (10.4 billion EUR) in 2020.

Marelli's success is built upon the integration of Italian and Japanese expertise. In May 2019, Calsonic Kansei and Magneti Marelli merged, establishing Marelli as a leading player in the industry.

Marelli Ploiesti Romania, established in 2006, is a division of the Thermal Solutions sector. With around 500 employees, it holds the distinction of being the world's first manufacturer to successfully produce aluminum radiators in series. Our factory supplies renowned automobile brands such as Dacia, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault, Mitsubishi, Audi, and Jaguar. In addition to air coolers, we also produce cooling battery plates for electric vehicles.

In early 2022, we initiated our Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Journey, led by the Global Diversity Council. This council comprises 11 employees from various regions and works closely with the D&I Team to implement tangible actions throughout the company. Our Global Diversity Council, established in 2022, provides guidance to our Diversity Team.

At Marelli, we strive to create an organization where diversity and inclusion are reflected at all levels and within the communities where we operate. We cultivate an inclusive work environment, free from barriers, and leverage our differences to enhance our organizational goals. As a global company, we consider the diverse social and cultural backgrounds of our employees to be a strength. Our Code of Conduct explicitly prohibits any activity that creates an intimidating, discriminatory, demeaning, or offensive work environment. We provide an anonymous reporting channel, Marelli's Integrity Hotline, to address such issues.

Diversity is deeply embedded in our company culture, and we value individuality and unique perspectives. By embracing diverse ways of thinking, we aim to make a positive impact and foster an environment where everyone feels valued and included.

At Marelli, we have a wide range of initiatives and teams within our Diversity and Inclusion department, including:

  1. Sponsorship Program
  2. Marelli Women Network
  3. D&I Recruitment Team
  4. Generation Marelli Team
  5. Global Diversity Council

These teams work together to drive diversity and inclusion throughout our organization and promote a culture where every individual can thrive.

The official launch of the Romanian Diversity Charter took place on April 18, 2018, making Romania the 21st country in the European Union to adopt a Diversity Charter and join the European Diversity Platform. Currently, the Charter has gathered 206 signatories, representing approximately 260,000 employees from companies, public institutions, and NGOs. These signatories have publicly committed to upholding the principles of the Charter, aiming to make diversity, equal opportunities, and social inclusion recognized and respected values in Romania. Under the guidance of the Charter, numerous initiatives have been implemented, including experience exchanges, workshops, debates, and learning and mentorship programs. Since 2021, the Charter and its signatories have jointly celebrated the EU Diversity Month, which aims to promote diversity in the workplace and society as a whole.
